Marks Lost "Nordic" 10" Chef Knife Carbon Steel 1950s-60s
Marks lost but very distinctive shaped "Nordic" chef knife with carbon steel blade, walnut handle with brass rivets. I have found a number of these only in the 10" chef size. Steel is likely a Swedish carbon steel as it feels like a higher carbon content steel and always perfomed very well for Western knife.
This knife had been sharpened just enough to warrant re-grinding and thinning along the faces of the blade. The "Nordic marking" was typically on the handle only but this handle is fairly worn.
Blade has a convex grind but has a little meat to it giving it a more robust feel, avoid hacking heavy bones but a good multipurpose worker here. I always thought these worked above their pay grade, its been a minute since I found one.
