Forged carbon steel slicer made in Eskilstuna Sweden with  ebony handle and cast pewter alloy ferrule.

The blade had been sharpened in and needed a thinning, it has been brought back to its original geometry and is ready for work as a slicer and has just enough clearance in heel to be used as a narrow chef knife

This knife has a very distinctive Swedish design to it using a cast pewter to set the tang in the handle forming a ferrule in the process. The overall design draws on the old French Cuisine Massive (AKA Nogent) style but the handle shape with its short birdshead and flared center is definitley Swedish.
