
Village Blacksmith "French Cook" 13" Heavy Chef Knife Carbon Steel
Hand forged Village Blacksmith (Washington Cutlery Co.1898-1940) "French Cook" heavy chef knife made sometime in the early 20th century in Watertown Wisconsin.
This knife has a very heavy heel and thick spine at neck tapering quickly into a thinner edge. The original "French Cook" etch is still visible on the blade, while there were some heavy French chef knives this is a bit of a unique design to Village Blacksmith.
Handle is a brass riveted rosewood and is nice and secure
13" blade, 3" wide at heel 7/16th at the thickest point 27.5 oz
