
Unusual Unmarked 7" Cleaver Carbon Steel USA ~1900?
Mysterious cleaver with wide oval heel over hanging hole; either for use as a tenderizer or a platform to strike. I have never seen anything like this in 20 years of dealing vintage and antique knives.
No marks but definitly late 19th early 20th C American looking, the tang is held in handle at a pin in the ferrule.
Blade has a fresh edge, ferrule and handle are free from wiggles.
