Unmarked 7" Curved Boning / Scimitar Carbon Steel Rosewood USA 1920s - 50s
Unmarked but definitly American 7" scimitar with a stamped carbon steel blade, cast pewter or brittania (a pewter like low temperature melting alloy) ferrule with rosewood and brass riveted scales.
Blade is very full looking to have been sharpened very little if at all before we put a fresh edge on it.
This knife has all the hallmarks of a knife made in New England in the early to mid 20th century and would make a great trimming knife for butchery work.
