
Unmarked 11.5” Bullnose Butcher Carbon Steel American 1900-1920s
Unmarked antique bullnose butcher knife with 11.5” blade, and rosewood handle with 1/2 birdseye brass rivets.
Blade is very full, it has been sharpened in very little, but has some patches with pits. Handle is nice and secure but the wood had shrunk a little bit.
This is typical of American made butcher knives of the early 20th century. Mass produced in the North East but with skilled hand work involved. The deep swedge ground on the blade is classic of older cutlery where even
10 oz, 11.5” blade, 17 3/4” overall
