Vintage Sabatier Trumpet in the classic post war hand forged after drop forged and hand ground construction. Sabatier Trumpet is the post war incarnation of the the old La Trompette and was imported by Forschner.

This knife had seen some rust, especially the edge on the mark side so we ground out the worst of them and buffed the blade down to cut smoother and avoid rusting in a pitted surface as quickly.

Blade has a very slight small bend towards the middle, which is not inconsistent with old hand forged knives. Blade is still pretty full, edge is 9 7/8” and is 1 7/8” wide at the heel. Solid wood (European walnut?) handle is tight and secure.
