New Old Stock 4 1/8" Non- Bolstered Grafting Knife Carbon Steel & Horn Maniago, Italy 1950-70s
Assorted new old stock 4 1/8" (closed length) grafting knife made in Maniago Italy roughly from the 1950s to 70s marked either Pino or Gallo. These have a carbon steel blade, steel springs , brass liners and pins with cow horn handle scales. Used for grafting fruit trees.
These have incredibly strong springs and are best for those comfortable opening a tighly sprung blade.
These are from a batch of vintage Italian folders that were exposed to water, most were not salvagable but many were, these will have evidence of of previous water damage; pepper spots, pits or darkening of handles from rust or small cracks and crazing (shallow cracks) of the horn.
These do not come sharpened, please specify if you would like a fresh edge.
