Rehandled monsterous hand forged after drop forged and hand ground 14.5" carbon steel chef knife with custom made rosewood handle.
Despite it's XXL size it's light and maneuverable, the handle is shorter and more contoured than the original cuisine massive / Nogent style was but offers a good grip and unless you have massive hands totally sufficient.
Freshly sharpened, opted to keep the patina on this one.
Knife dates from 1909 to 1950 Landers Frary & Clark made by the Landers Frary and Clark company in New Britain Ct. under their Universal brand and is likely from the 1910s to 30s when they made this style of stick tang cuisine massive or Nogent style.
14.5" blade, 2.75+" wide at the heel and 19.25" overall
