Made by East Coast cutlery giant LF&C with an English style carving knife and distinctively San Francisco style fork with ball tipped ‘antennae’.
The popularity of high quality San Francisco made carving sets from makers such as Will & Finck and Michael Price with their (distinctive antennas on forks and steels) led to a rush by larger East Coast manufacturers to make their own imitations, this set is a classic example of such. These were made much cheaper than the San Francisco made ones and had brightly colored elaborate cardboard boxes that advertised them as “California Carvers”
