Unusual John Sanderson & Son Sheffield (1887-1927) Lemon knife with saw edge serrated silver plated (brass?) blade and hand carved turned boxwood handle with “Lemon” carved on the side. This carved handle knife is typically for bread with “Bread” carved on the side of the turned boxwood handle along with an ear of wheat typically.
This knife most likely dates to 1895-1900 with the marking J S (star) S and EP for electroplate.
4” blade, 8 3/4” overall.
