Made by hand by Shoji Kubode, a 2nd generation Kijishi (professionals of wood) from Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan. His father created the company in the 1940s as a shokunin of Yamanaka Shikki, with the mission of respecting and harnessing all parts of wood. They hope to restore appreciation of wood including its warmth, comfort and individuality as no two pieces of wood are the same. Combining traditional skills to carve and sand the wood, with modern technology of nano-glass coating which protects the cup from any staining from beverages such as red wine and allows it to withstand hot liquids. 

Simply holding this cup in your hand will bring you great comfort with its smooth texture and beautiful lines. 

Wash by hand with soft materials, avoid scratching with sharp objects.
