Hand forged carbon steel bullnose scimitar (curved spine & edge rather than straight on a straight bullnose) from John Russell Green River Works likely early 20th century likely 1920s or 30s. 

The Russell markings were a lighter etch that was mostly lost in the cleaning process but it was the R with an arrow through it Russell marking which started in the 1920s.

Blade is very full and has a nice taper in the tang, 5 pinned beech handle is sturdy and secure with no problems. Blade has a fresh sharp edge.
