Hoffritz 8" Slicer Stainless Pakka Solingen (Henckels?) 1970s
8" slicer made in Solingen, Germany, in quintessential 1970s or early 80s style with the wide bolster, aluminum rivets, and pakka handle. Hoffritz was not a manufacturer and the mark "Ice tempered stainless" suggests that they sourced this series from JA Henckels, there could have been others doing cryogenic HT in the 70s and 80s in Solingen however.
The knife has not been sharpened in very much, and the pakka handle is nice and solid without delamination (no one put it in a dishwasher!), but does have some slight kinks. It doesn't want to smell your socks; it has a small bend at the tip. Price has been adjusted.
