Meridan Cutlery Co Carving Set 1875-1925
Boxed three piece carving set from Meridan Cutlery co in good used condition.
Meridan Cutlery Co (of Meridan Ct.) as the blade of the knife is marked was used roughly between 1855 and 1925 when the company was bought by cutlery giant LF&C also of Ct. Being that this mark was used for a good length of time it is not a diagnostic feature in itself, rather the design of the fork guard places this set in the later 19th early 20th C as well as the general design of the set.
Blade is nice and sharp and was not so sharpened down that it required a re-profiling.
