Borachrome is a abrasive rich boron carbide, Japanese chromium oxide in a water based biodegradable paste. It is ideal for deburring coarse finished knives that are not excessively wear resistant ‘super steels’.
Excellent for deburring western stainless steel with a 1000 grit finish.
Borachrome deburring and polishing compound is made with a proprietary mix of chromium oxide, and boron carbide at roughly 15,000 to 4000 grit in a water based paste with the majority of the product being abrasives. The boron carbide in Borachrome Plus has a much more aggressive cutting ability than chromium oxide on its own, yet still creates fine finish edges with the presence of chromium oxide.
A thin layer of this compound on a strop will last for between 40-60 stroppings.
