Unmarked 6.75" Butcher Cleaver European - French? 1920s-1960
Unmarked and very likely French 6.75" carbon steel cleaver with a stout 3/16" thick blade and 1/2 birdseye brass rivets which hint at a 1920s to early 60s manufacture.
Blade has a fresh sharp convex edge and the handle is a nice mellow tropical hardwood.
A perfect size for both a prefessional butcher looking for a slightly smaller more managable sized cleaver or a home cook looking for a capable but not unwieldy cleaver
